ABOUT US

Drug therapy can be used to improve depressive and anxious behaviors in animals; however, improper drug abuse can also lead to abnormal cognition and addictive behaviors. Through electrophysiological techniques, we can gain a precise understanding of the functionality of individual neurons or the plasticity of specific circuits within the brain. By combining optogenetics and chemogenetics, we can manipulate animal behavior, enabling us to delve deeper into the molecular mechanisms and intracellular signaling pathways associated with neurobehavioral phenomena in animals.

Our goal is to leverage this knowledge to inform the development of future clinical treatment approaches for disorders related to animal neurobehavior. This research may facilitate more effective management of psychological conditions such as depression and anxiety, while also contributing to the prevention of adverse consequences stemming from drug misuse.
